The ad gets attention. What happens next matters.

Connect the message, landing page and next step into one considered campaign journey.

01

Choose one useful outcome

Start with the action the campaign should support. An enquiry, a booking and a product purchase involve different decisions. Describe the outcome and the audience before deciding what the creative will say.

Then consider what someone needs to believe or understand before they act. Are they comparing providers? Discovering a new offer? Returning after an earlier visit? That context can help shape the message and the depth of information on the destination page.

02

Keep the promise consistent

Read the ad and the landing page together. If the ad introduces a particular service or offer, the destination should make it easy to recognise that same promise. A visitor should not need to search a general homepage to find the thing that caught their attention.

Use a clear headline, relevant imagery and an obvious next step. Add the details someone needs to assess the offer, including meaningful conditions or limitations. Consistency is about the substance of the message as well as the visual identity.

03

Review the whole journey on a phone

Follow the path from the creative to the final action. Is the offer clear at a glance? Does the page load comfortably? Can you use the form without fighting the interface? Do the confirmation and next-step messages explain what happens after submitting?

Ask only for information the enquiry genuinely needs. If a question helps your team prepare a useful response, explain it. A shorter form is not automatically better; a considered form makes the effort understandable and the process straightforward.

04

Make learning part of the scope

Agree how meaningful actions will be identified and checked before the campaign begins. Keep media spend and service fees distinct in the proposal, and clarify who owns the accounts, creative and destination pages.

When reviewing a test, change something for a reason. Compare a specific message, audience or creative idea, then discuss what the result can and cannot tell you. A useful review ends with a decision about what to keep, improve or investigate next.

A starting checklist.

  • A defined audience and primary campaign action
  • A matching promise from creative to landing page
  • A checked mobile enquiry or purchase journey
  • Clear budgets, responsibilities and measurement scope
